Lion King Birthday Party

Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Have I missed any holidays? 😉 We spent Christmas in Minnesota and it was frigid, fun and relaxing. Saelor turned four on December 27th so we celebrated his birthday there. Here’s a few snapshots from his special day.

Lion King Birthday Party:

My sister-in-law made the Happy Birthday banner. Her calligraphy is much more impressive than mine. 😉

I made my favorite chocolate cupcakes and buttercream frosting. For the cupcake toppers, I used stickers from Hobby Lobby and attached them to toothpicks.

This was Saelor’s favorite part of the whole birthday. Grub that was “slimy, yet satisfying!”

bug juice.jpg

For the Bug Juice I used green Kool-Aid and it kind of tasted like green apple Jolly Ranchers. (I think that was my boys first time trying Kool-Aid 😛 )

I bought a stamp set to make the signs. Tyler built the log holders last year for Saelor’s birthday.

I bought the cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and it was so delicious. I spray painted the lion, but it didn’t turn out quite like I had imagined. 😉

I stained wood blocks and added jungle themed stickers from Hobby Lobby.

Hakuna Matata gift bags were a big hit for everyone.

Happy Birthday Saelor Ellis! Time has flown since you made us parents – thankful for everyday with you!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jodi
